Our Farms

“The only thing constant in life is change” and that is something we have to come to terms with in business and our personal lives.

Regrettably, we have had to raise our caps and say our cheery farewells to our supplier of more than three years, Ensors Ltd. Ensors have changed course from a business perspective resulting in The Real Butchers having to find another supplier that meets our ethos and standing on high welfare meat. We take this opportunity to thank Ensors for their service and support over the years.

All is not lost, however, as we have discovered and developed a new relationship with Jackson Meat Ltd and Blythburgh Pork, based near the seaside in Suffolk. Jackson’s high welfare, free- range model fits perfectly with The Real Butchers and we are truly excited about our new alliance.

Jackson’s carry a variety of rare breeds of beef such as Red Pole and Nedging Lamb.

Our pork is reared in Blythburgh. A Blythburgh pig is a combination of 4 different breeds. These are Large White, Land Race, Duroc and Pietrain. All Their  pork is free range and all from one farm. They have a great welfare and traceability story that Supermarkets cannot do with pork.

The Real Butchers visited Jackson’s in Suffolk and came away believing that we are about to embark upon a long and fruitful association with our new supplier and look forward to receiving many more compliments from our faithful customers.
